Dear Pegasus Families, It is our pleasure to announce that Pegasus Aquatics has been able to secure additional pool time at the brand new Garland ISD Natatorium at 2585 Firewheel Parkway. This state of the art facility features the largest pool in Texas and will allow Pegasus to grow water polo in the surrounding areas including Garland, Sachse, Murphy, East Plano, Wylie, Richardson, Rowlett and Rockwall. From USA Water Polo Southwest Zone October 19, 2020 The UIL Legislative Council earlier today decided to postpone the start date for UIL Water Polo to Fall 2022 due to COVID-19 related issues. As everyone knows there are various challenges during the 2020-2021 academic year for school districts including budget crunches, planning issues, etc. The UIL feels postponing the start date would be best for everyone involved. On August 24th Pegasus WPA resumed practices on a modified practice schedule at the SMU pool and the T Bar M pool. Due to limited space and pool time we are currently taking a waiting list for new members. For current members, we now have the Gear Store open and ready for you to place orders! The store order deadline is Tues, Sept 8th.
Due to the Covid19 situation and closed pools, we are currently unable to practice as normal. We do have a dryland program and weekly zoom meeting for our athletes.

On October 21, 2019, water polo became an official UIL Varsity Sport in Texas beginning in fall 2021. UIL is the University Interscholastic League and it oversees the vast majority of athletic, musical, and academic contests for public primary and secondary schools in our state. No other sport has been added since wrestling some 20 years ago. Pegasus had two 14U boys teams competing in the Evan Cousineau Cup in Orange County on October 12-13, and they both had a strong showing. This was a very large tournament with 66 14U boys teams in three divisions, Platinum, Gold and Silver. The Pegasus Blue team came in 4th in the Platinum (highest tier) division, well above their 16th seed.
