Pegasus Non-Discrimination Policy

At Pegasus, we are committed to inspiring healthy, happy lives for everyone in our communities.

We maintain an open admissions policy, with our goal being to serve the aquatics community by offering high quality training for all athletes.  Prospective members must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted.

Admission to Pegasus and its sponsored programs is open to qualified individuals regardless of race, color, gender, sexual orientation, creed, age, national origin or disability.

Pegasus has adopted and follows the policies of each facility we use, as well as the policies and guidelines of USMS and USAWP.  Those policies and guidelines are set forth in the links.

Pegasus athletes and their families will:

  • Respect and value differences.
  • Promote mutual respect in terms of both personal characteristics and athletic abilities.
  • Demonstrate team spirit and invest in team building.
  • Treat others with tact, courtesy, and respect.
  • Abstain from and actively discourage discrimination in all forms.
  • Exercise restraint in order to avoid offending others, and be aware that statements or actions not intended to be offensive to another person may be perceived as such.
  • Refrain from unpleasant or disparaging remarks or actions, in particular on the basis of sex, age, religion, beliefs, nationality, culture, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, disability, or family situation.

It is Pegasus policy to maintain an environment that is free of sexual or other improper harassment of its athletes, coaches, volunteers, and board members, whether engaged in by Pegasus athletes, parents, coaches, volunteers, vendors, or others who conduct business with Pegasus. This policy applies at all Pegasus-sponsored activities, including social functions, and at any location where Pegasus members may be competing, training, coaching, volunteering or participating on related calls and/or video conferences.
