MASTERS SWIMMING
  • SMU Practice Schedule - Pegasus Aquatic Masters Swimming will start offering early morning practices 5 times a week, Monday-Friday 5:15-6:15 AM starting June 1, 2021, in addition to its noon, evening and weekend practices. 
  • Garland - PAMS will expand into the brand new Garland ISD Natatorium starting June 1. Practices will be offered Monday-Thursday from 6:00-7:00 PM. More details to follow. 
  • T Bar M Outdoor Pool - PAMS will offer outdoor practices from 11:30-12:30 PM in the 25 meter pool Monday through Friday for the summer months. Practices start June 1st.     
  • Member Only Freestyle Clinic - Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Highland Park from 9:00-10:00 AM. Limited space so you must reserve a spot by going to the event calendar and click attend (requires login to the Pegasus site). Or you can register through the On Deck app events page. We will have a regular Masters practice afterwards from 10:00-11:00 AM. Questions? Contact Laurie Dunlap at [email protected] . 
     
MASTERS WATER POLO
  • SMU Practice Schedule - Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday practices offered currently
  • Semones (Town North) YMCA - We hope to move Sunday practices outdoors to the Y by the end of May. 
  • Master Nationals - Pegasus will be hosting Water Polo Masters Nationals at SMU, HP and Garland August 27-29, 2021. Great time to start getting in shape. Multiple Dallas based teams will be entered. Contact Peter Hudak for more information.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
 

  • Welcome to all the new families that have joined Pegasus Water Polo Academy!
     

  • Summer Practice Schedule - our practice times will remain generally the same for June, July and August. We will keep evening and Saturday/Sunday practices. We will NOT be holding practices August 6-22, 2021, to give our athletes a well deserved break and the  coaches a chance to regroup  and prepare for the upcoming new school year/season. All athletes will need to re-register in mid-August for the 2021-22 school year once we announce the new registration is open.
     
  • New Parents - Tournaments 101 is a web page under the Youth Water Polo tab! If you are new to the team or need a refresher on how game days, tournaments, USAWP, tournament registration, etc. works please read it.
    This should help alleviate the many questions. Let us know if you think it’s helpful!
     
  • Junior Olympics News
    We have 87 athletes signed up to go to the Junior Olympics!  We plan to take 6 teams: 18U boys, 16U boys, two 14U boys, 14U girls, and one 12U boys.  We’ll have the Qualifier in Texas in mid-June, and hopefully all of our teams will qualify to go to the NJO tournament in July.  Traditionally this tournament takes place in California, but just recently, USA Water Polo announced some of it is being moved to Dallas due to continued California COVID restrictions.
     
  • Pegasus Now Sends Text Messages for Last Minute Practice Changes : Log in to your Pegasus account. click My Account, Account Info, and put your phone number in the SMS field. Click VERIFY to send a verification notice to your phone. There is room for two phone numbers in the account section for parents and each athlete has a phone field for text notifications as well.
     

  • Not Getting The Team Emails? -  Check your spam folder and follow these steps to make sure you are getting ALL Pegasus emails:

1. VERIFY your email address in your Pegasus account!! Login to your Pegasus account, Click My Account, Account Info. Look above your email address for a green”verified” or a red “unverified” and if it’s red then please click it and go through the steps to verify your email address.

TOURNAMENTS/GAME DAYS
 
How to Enter A Tournament: Login to your Pegasus account through the On Deck app or the website,  go to Calendar, Events Calendar , and find the tournament you want to commit to; enter yes/no commit. Athlete fees are charged after the tournament is over. Tournament rosters and games schedules will be emailed out the week of the tournament.
