We are a registered United States Masters Swimming club for anyone 18 or over that can swim one length (25 yds) of the pool continuously. The term Masters simply means over 18, not expert. We offer three levels of swimmers at each practice: beginner, intermediate and advanced. All practices are led by an experienced coach and lanes are divided up by speed and ability.

Out of Town USMS Visitors - Registered USMS members who are traveling to Dallas from over 100 miles away can request a visitor pass. Please allow 24-48 hours during weekday business hours for processing.

Trial Membership - We do not offer trial memberships due to space limitations. You are welcome to join the club and if you are not satisfied with your membership within 14 days, you can request a full refund of membership dues. The USMS annual registration fee is nonrefundable.

Membership Costs: $95 monthly dues auto-billed on the first of each month.
During the registration process, dues for that month will not be prorated depending on what day of the month you join but rather will fall into one of three categories:

1) 1st - 12th of the month - $95.00
2)13th-26th of the month - $55.00
3) 27th-30th(31st) - $0.00
In addition, there is a one-time only $25 new member registration fee.

How to Become a Member:

  • Questions? Email our Admin Director, Laurie Dunlap at [email protected].

  • Cancel Policy: Please fill out the cancellation request form linked below to request that your membership be cancelled or suspended.
We need at least 3 business days to process prior to the 1st of the month. Cancellations are processed the last week of the month and confirmation emails sent out at that time. We can only suspend memberships short term (6 months or less) and with an intended date to return. If you are uncertain on your return, then it will be considered a cancellation.
There is no fee to rejoin the club if you cancel and rejoin at a later time.
You will need to contact us first to rejoin so we may unlock your login account and reactivate your membership.
We do not give retroactive refunds on unused membership time.

We strongly prefer that you regularly attend your primary pool and practice time, but if needed you can still attend practices at other locations and times.
No weekend only memberships. Weekend practice times are first come, first swim.

SMU Outdoor Pool Use Policy:

Pegasus Masters will not swim outside during thunder and lightning storms, tornado watches and warnings, nor will we swim with an outside temperature of 39 degrees Fahrenheit or cooler. This includes a wind chill of 39 degrees Fahrenheit or below.
Unless notified differently, we will move practices caused by weather to the indoor pool. When lightning is detected within a 10-mile radius, state law and SMU campus policy require that the pool be cleared and the pool deck evacuated for 30 minutes from the last detected presence of lightning. The final decision regarding swim location and pool clearance lies with the coach on the pool deck.
